Smile Club R.B.A.I. Starting from the 1st of July 2024
One of the best Belfast summer schemes is Smile Club. The annual venue for Smile Club is located at the Royal Belfast Academical Institution in the heart of Belfast City Centre. The school boasts a range of outstanding facilities. Smile Club is a multi activities summer scheme offering a range of sporting activities such as rugby skills, football, basketball, badminton, netball, quick cricket and softball. The scheme is for both boys and girls aged from 4-14 years old. One of the key features of the scheme is that it makes use of the swimming pool located on site at the College Square East campus.
Swimming
The swimming pool is 25m long and has a shallow end as well as a deeper end at 2.5m. Expert swimming lessons are available for all abilities. The children receive a minimum of two of these for week of the scheme. The other aspect of our program that sets us apart from other schemes is the staff to child ratio. We have a number of qualified and experienced staff working alongside a great number of sixth form volunteers.
Belfast Summer Schemes
The week long scheme held in the last week in July is fun, friendly and held in a relaxed environment for all. The activities also include arts and crafts and also ICT. The end of the week brings the annual Talent Show which is a real highlight of the scheme. It includes singing and dancing. Most of the young people take part in this and thoroughly enjoy the experience, although it is not compulsory as with the other activities.
